At a time when Minnesota’s mental health system faces serious challenges, including the Federal Administration’s announcement to halt approximately $259 million in Medicaid funding to our state, it is more important than ever that we come together and speak out.
Thank you to Lisa Xiong, Change Inc.'s Senior Director of Clinical Services, for doing just that at the 2026 AspireMN & QPI-MN Mental Health Day on the Hill (watch her testimony below).
The 2026 AspireMN & QPI-MN Mental Health Day on the Hill included the opportunity to participate with the Mental Health Legislative Network (MHLN) in addition to training, meetings, and socializing with AspireMN colleagues. Staff from our mental health team participated in democracy in action by joining the MHLN rally in the Rotunda, learning about AspireMN Legislative priorities and how we can advocate for our top priorities as an organization, and got a chance to share our expertise with our legislators. They got to make their voices heard to help shape policies that impact children, families, and providers across Minnesota.
Thank you to both AspireMN, and NAMI Minnesota, for continuing to bring our voices together to advocate for support, access, and mental health care for our communities.
