GAP School was named Living Well’s 2025 Community Partner Dreammaker Award Winner! The award honors an individual or organization whose work in the community has made a significant difference in the lives of the people Living Well serves.

Through a collaboration with Hennepin County DOCCR (Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation), Change Inc. is providing enrichment programming for youth residents of the Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) throughout August.

Crossroads mentors, known as Community Cultural Specialists, provide life skills mentoring and classroom observations and supports.

After immigrating from the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2024, Dorika Mulingwa joined GAP School’s YouthBuild Healthcare Pathway to pursue a new career while supporting her family. With the program’s support, she earned her CNA license, secured better employment, and was accepted into Allina Health’s Medical Assistant Apprentice Program, where she continues to learn and work full-time.

We gathered on May 15th to honor Jody Nelson's 30 years of service with Change Inc. at our third annual Changemakers Luncheon! The Minnesota legislative session has been in full swing! We’ve sent two groups to participate in Mental Health Day and Youth Days on the Hill, advocating for critical issues, along with multiple staff members testifying in support of different bills that impact Change Inc. programming. For the past 18 years, Change Inc. has participated in the Minnesota Department of Health Service's Cultural and Ethnic Minority Infrastructure Grant (CEMIG). In total, we have provided CEMIG support to more than 120 clinical trainees and mental health professionals over those years.
