The Care for the Caregivers 6-week email package delivering well-being tools, a recorded yoga lesson, and a link to a live yoga class straight to your inbox. You can choose whatever is most helpful to you or partake in all three!
Emails this session will each include: Jess Finney's Well-being Tools- Would you like to receive more acknowledgement, appreciation, and tangible takeaways to support you in your efforts of caring for children? Jessica Finney (LMFT and longtime teaching artist in MPS) will offer that through a weekly email with practical tools to use to bolster your own overall wellbeing. Life is complex (an understatement right now), and Jess brings a realistic, compassionate, and non-judgmental presence to witness and support you. Your email inboxes are likely full and you may be thinking “one more email?!?”, yet this is an offering that you can check in with when it best suits your schedule and you can take what resonates with you and leave the rest. Jess Finney (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Jess is IFS certified and IFS-I approved clinical consultant. She is also a longtime teaching artist in Minneapolis public schools, and also worked as a school-based therapist. |
Katie Fisher's Live Yoga Class-
Push or step away from your desk for 15 minutes of simple stretches and mindfulness. Katie Fisher, MA LAMFT E-RYT, will lead you through seated stretches you can take at your desk or standing stretches you can do in your office. Live classes will meet 6 times throughout February and March via zoom. All levels welcome; no experience necessary. Follow the link to register and receive the meeting link. Live classes will be on Wednesdays from 11 AM to 12 PM CST. Katie Fisher is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She has been a practicing school-based therapist in the Twin Cities for several years. She is also an experienced yoga instructor with E-RYT credentials. Hannah Berg's Recorded Yoga Lesson- Making it to your yoga mat and setting aside the time to take care of yourself in this way is often more challenging than the practice itself. These 6 prerecorded yoga sessions will focus on mindfulness, breath control, physical yoga postures, and meeting yourself wherever you're at, on any given day. I will offer a variety of basic to intermediate postures, with options for props and modifications for more ease, and a focus on safe alignment. Yoga is about working in tandem with your breath and body to release stress and cultivate feelings of wellbeing, while developing strength, flexibility, and acceptance. You will improve your ability to be present and mindful, even if only for the duration of our time together. I teach from a trauma-informed lens to make this practice accessible for all, regardless of experience. Yoga should be accessible for everybody - in every body. The hope is that we can carry the lessons learned on our yoga mats back into our lives, our relationships, and by extension, to the world. Hannah Berg is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has been a practicing school-based therapist in the Twin Cities for several years. She is also an experienced yoga instructor. |
